older people's education scheme (OPPES)
The Older People’s Peer Education Scheme (OPPES) was introduced to assist in alerting older adults to the risk of elder abuse, provide the tools that will help to identify and prevent against such abuse, and provide information on where to get help if required.

Northern Suburbs Community Legal Centre is committed to partnering with our consumers to ensure a person-centred, holistic approach to all service planning, delivery and evaluation.
The Consumer Advisory Committee (CAC) provides support and advice to NSCLC with the objective of improving our approach to community, our service mix and the overall consumer experience. The committee is made up of a mix of consumers, volunteers and members of the community.
Some of the focus areas of the committee include:

facilitating communication between NSCLC, consumers and the community

input to service delivery at the Centre

planning and development of community legal services

advocating for consumers and the community

promoting consumer and community participation

monitoring and reporting on the needs of the consumer.
