collaborating and

engaging with our community since 1996

The Northern Suburbs Community Legal Centre (NSCLC), first established in 1996, is a non-profit, multidisciplinary legal centre that provides high quality legal, advocacy, and support services. Our service is provided primarily to people residing in Perth's northern suburbs, with some programs offered across Western Australia. The Centre is nationally accredited with three office locations in Mirrabooka and Joondalup, together with recurring outreach clinics metro-wide. We are an accredited legal training organisation and provide regular community legal education  and professional legal education services to the community.

Our multidisciplinary workforce includes Solicitors, Health Advocates, Tenancy Advocates, Social Workers, Financial Counsellors, Financial Advocates, Community Legal Education staff and program support staff. In addition to staff, NSCLC is supported by a valuable contingent of volunteers.

Our model of service is person-centred and holistic, with an integrated approach between our programs. There is no wrong door of entry, and individual legal needs are recognised as being in context of complex life issues that often require concurrent health, social and financial support.

NSCLC acknowledges the traditional Indigenous owners of country throughout Australia and their continuing connection to land, culture and community. Our offices are located on land of the Aboriginal Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation, the traditional custodians  of this land. We pay our respects to elders past and present.
